Bird nest fern

Ok, I think it would be cool if I put a bird nest fern in the crook of my live oak. Are there any species that would survive in my climate? Usually 9b occasionally 9a.

Possibly the Australian Asplenium australasicum............... It's natural habitat reaches as far south as cool temperate Victoria and it naturally grows on trees and rocks.

Agree with Tropicgardener and have been trying to find the species he had suggested. Supposedly, it was sometimes sold as A. nidus in the past.

From what I've read all of the bird nest ferns are australasicum not really nidus. I guess the cold tolerance would help with id
