It was on wire Steve. Bit the live goggle eye on the long line off the kite. Circled for a second then we tightened up and the fight was on. Landing a fish like that is rare for a bunch of amateurs but we did it. That is my gaff job. Pierced his brain!

I like catching "Hoo" They go like a rocket for the first 10 seconds. I got this 23kg Jewfish (mulloway) a few years ago. They're a good fish to catch, although I prefer Wahoo & Spanish Mackerel anyday.

My buddy and I managed to bag three good sized Jewfish (Mulloway) on Wednesday night. The one pictured went 18kgs, the others went 15kg & 16kg.

Had another big night fishing yesterday evening. Managed to score three big Mulloway, the biggest (see pic) went 22kg or near 50lb, the others were around 15-16kg.

Oh why not... My son-in-law makes spear guns and puts them to good use.
