JEFF IN MODESTO

lol ,

$2.59 here.

Just high enough that people will start conserving again !

It seem that $2.50 is the magic line.

Oil remains steady at $50 bbl.

Gas prices keep rising.

From a low of $1.99 gal a couple of weeks ago.

The lowest that I could find last night was $2.79 gal.

California must have the most expensive gas in the country now.

I see gas prices in Honolulu are cheaper and in anchorage ak, the price 40 cents a gallon cheaper than modesto.

Gotta love politics!

Having refinery issues right now, some of them are doing routine maintenance for this time of year, some are on strike, this is affecting California the most. But even here, gas is way more expensive right now than it was at the same price of oil/barrel a little while ago.

lol , or as I see it, everything is relative. Even though we produce oil, refine it into gasoline and have massive transportation avenues in this state.

California has the most people, expensive real estate etc...

Booger the people of that he state of ca and no need hit Alaska, the Dakotas or montana or Maine etc

Much oil is being stockpiled in holding tanks in the hope of prices increasing. Holding facilities are starting to run out of room.

And when they run out of room, the world will be flooded with oil and price will crash even more, until enough small producers go out of business that production falls and the price can rise again.

After a quick rise last month, prices are slowly dropping again locally ( $2.35 near work in Sarasota. Was at $2.45 last week). Once again, OKC and stations around Houston are close to, or below $2.00 and falling.

Well, no doubt about it, Aussies are getting ripped off where fuel prices are concerned.. At present diesel is around $1.25 L and unleaded is about $1.15 L  Mulitply that by 4.45 for a per gallon price.  Sad isn't it ?

I don't think we should be complaining here in OZ as in the UK unleaded is almost double again but yeah US fuel prices would be great.

Cheapest is about $2.25 gal here .

Calif has oil, refineries and good transportation.

Only problem is our politicians. They tax and chase people away from our state.

There are many countries with a so called " brain drain"

CA is the only state I know of with the same problem.
