Yeh ok, I know I post and post pics of this Palm but what the heck, off with the old Cshaft and on with the new, thanks to my daughter Lauren for giving scale on this sunny very warm dry day and I think a "spathe" will be showing itself not too far away.

Pete :)

Beautiful Pete :) The bulge higher up the crownshaft is obvious, should be very exciting when an inflo comes!

Hey Pete,

Such a stunning palm! I wish this was something we could try here, but this species is so slow and hard to come by. Love the Alocasias near Lauren's right leg, I have these in my yard growing as well. Thanks!

Thanks Kostas n Paul, for a descibed NC Palm thats "slow" this really hasnt been that slow, I dont think so anyway, next yr I planted it 20 yrs ago, so Bob Dylan will sing a little song.

Pete, I never would have guessed you planted it so long ago. The growth rings imply warp speed vertical growth. But you probably didn't get growth rings for about 15 years, right?

Thanks Jeff, it is such a stunning palm, glad I planted it "so close" to the house where it can be viewed and admired, I love the Alocasia tigrina superba too, Clayton (Utopia) snapped me off a little offshoot "years ago", I know they are common in Florida but they are still "rarely seen" in nurseries in Oz.

Thanks Ante, I take that as aBsolute. :)

Thanks Bret, heres 3 pics, 1 in 1999 and the other 2011 and now, it showed trunk only 2 yrs ago.

Pete :)
