The Palm Society of Southern California had its November 15, 2015 meeting and all went very well.

The first half was at the home and garden of Barry McElmurry, in Vista.

He has about an acre there, and it's full of great palms.

Thereafter, the mob left the McElmurrys' and roared off to San Diego Botanical Gardens, where the second half of the meeting was held.

After everyone wolfed down various food in nearby eateries, the donated plants began to appear by the truckload.

We had dozens of plants. We raised about $3,600 from the auction alone.

Congratulations on a successful fundraiser! I did my small part by renewing for 3 years. Worth it for the publication alone and one day I'll appear at a meeting....

Wish I could have made it to this one, sounds like a huge success all the way around -- gardens, Don Hodel's talk, and the blowout auction. Congratulations to Dave and the Board for making it happen.

Kim, we missed you, hope you can make it to the banquet!

It was the liveliest meeting in a long long while, no two ways about that.

Love flowed in rivers through the room . . .
