Anyone know what this is? I thought it was a black widow at first glance... but obviously it isn't. Its huge. I moved it into my bougainvillea.

Almost looks like Argiope trifasciata - Banded Garden Spider, but it's difficult to be sure from the photo. If so, it's harmless. She's an orb weave and makes a huge web. Very different from a black widow.

lol.. thanks for the ID. Aside from the recent local black widow explosion I have never seen this spider before.. I saw a different 'orb weaver' last year but it was more colorful.. that one I knew what it was because of the web. Tarantulas are here too.. seems like they prefer October weather here.. Still heebie jeebies.
