Why is it impossible to delete a post or a thread?

You can edit it and cut everything from it and or ask Dean to do it.

And also a thread, before the first reply.

I take this as a suggestion to improve palmtalk.

We already had two disgruntled users recently go back and delete all the photos they had linked to over the years.

If they also had the ability to delete their topics/posts (like on FaceBook), those topics and the thousands of posts and photos others contributed to the topics would have also been deleted. I don't think this would be an improvement.

As far as deleting a topic before the first post. That is a limitation of the software, beyond our control.

I will check to see if there isn't an option to delete a post within the edit time period. This option may have been added during one or the upgrades since I last checked.

I thought these changes (to be able to delete posts within the edit time period and to delete a thread before the first post) would be improvements.

But off course this is just an idea
