Day of the Dead - Memorial Day for all

Day of the Dead is actually celebrated over three days, starting on Halloween and ending November 2.

It's a custom in parts of the world, particularly Mexico where you remember everyone you know who died. Once upon a time, my List of the Dead was short, say it all in one breath. Now, it's long and getting longer.

Official celebrations can get a bit wild, sort of like Mardi Gras, crossed with Halloween, on steroids. Below, two ladies pose for the 2013 dia de los Muertos celebration in Hollywood, which had its 15th year this year. http://www.ladayofthedead.com/

I just put up 13 candles on my mantle and light them, and let them burn till they go out.
