RAIN IN SO-CAL ON DAY OF THE DEAD

Recommended Posts

Looks like we're getting some rain in the early morning hours, on November 1.

Timing's perfect.

Hope it's a lot. They say half an inch (1.25 cm) but I pray for more.

Maybe Matt can give some of his rainy mojo . . .

I'm slightly out of the zip code at the moment and didn't get all my garden watered the way I wanted before leaving. The rain would be a perfect solution! Plus, oh yeah that pesky drought thing too.

Nice, we have again gone from drowning to drought here in So Louisiana. Trees are going dormant early and grass has stopped growing. Maybe first frost Sunday morning as well, and that would be a full month earlier than average. Vibes on this winter are not good.

We got about 1/3" last night. Good enough to turn off the irrigation this weekend, but with temps back up into the high 80's this week it'll be back to watering soon enough.

Finally we got some much needed rain. We got 9/10" in Santa Barbara here and other areas had over an inch. For once I won't need to water by hand this weekend.

Agreed, Keith. At least you didn't get snow. That sends horrible vibes for the rest of winter.

As California gets rain, Florida shuts off. 3 weeks and counting, and like Keith, went from 18" in September to zero for 3 weeks, plus little chance anytime this week. Never hit 65F at all this weekend as a high! Currently 41F on Nov 3rd? Record breaking lows. A month early for sure. Not good.

Begonias are my thing. I've been growing and selling them for three decades, nearly two in Tampa Bay. NPR is an bhour N of St Pete, coast
