was at a party the other night and a guy looked very mad.

I asked him "whats wrong Dude" ?

he told me that there was a lady at the party that he met on a on line dating web page a few months prior.

they agreed to a introductory meet-up at Starbucks.

the moment they met she looked at him and said " we are not a match"

she then left .

any comments ?

"she said we are not a match - right from the jump"

I thought this was a set up and I was waiting for the punch line. . .

The woman in this tale was a bit too abrupt, shallow or not. I spent several hours conversing with a woman even though her head looked like an uncanned hunk of spam. She was interesting to talk to, as she was on the website, but too many inconsistencies/lies about her to make it possible even if her head wasn't a lump of processed pork. We parted ways amicably enough.

In a weird way it's also about networking. Just because you can (sometimes) tell from first seeing someone that it's not going to work, does not mean you should immediately abandon ship. Maybe that person knows the person you're supposed to hit it off with and if you quickly cast off you won't have that line out later.

She crushed the poor guy's male ego under her stiletto heel.

BUT, she did not waste his time. She did not lead him on. She did not string him along for expensive dates or gifts. She did not give him false hope.

My guess is that he posted a picture of some handsome devil he got off the internet, (probably my photo, because what woman could resist my masculine charms?) and when he showed up with a white carnation and his ugly mug, she bailed. Any woman would be disappointed when expecting my Adonis like visage only to have her hopes dashed on the rocks of reality when seeing some other poor schlub's grisly face. Just saying.

not me - I get plenty of offers from the women

I may not have Mattys looks - but for a guy in his 50's - I do fine.

(working out 4 days a week helps keep away the soft middle aged look)

Sure wish I could do the 4 workouts a week. I always thought young kids was a copout...until I had one.
