How much % CIDP and how much % from other Phoenix in this specimen?

Phoenikakias

I have been observing this specimen many years and today a I had the opportunity to take some shots of it. It grows next to another specimen, which lies even nearer to the CIDP prototype , if not genuine. So the visual comparison between them makes the differencies very apparent.

First the suspected hybrid.

Definitely looks sylvestris to me as well.. just from the smaller trunk and yellowing trunk close to the head.

Almost appears to have some P. dactylifera mix in that palm with P. canariensis taking a dominate part.

Hawaii Island (Big Island), leeward coast, 19 degrees N. latitude, south Kona mauka at approx. 380m (1,250 ft.) and about 1.6 km (1-mile) upslope from ocean.

No record of a hurricane passing over this island (yet!).

Summer maximum rainfall - variable averaging 900-1150mm (35-45") - Perfect drainage on black volcanic rocky soil.

Nice sunsets!
