Weather system that records lows and highs...

Anyone know where I can get a weather system that will record high and (more importantly) low temperatures? I'd like to be able to see what the temps were at my house (in a river valley) as compared to the nearby station in El Dorado...I'd like one of those that syncs with the internet and Weather Underground, but not sure where to find one...

I too would be interested in one of these. I am primarily interested in the high/low functionality, and I do not want to spend thousands of dollars.

Are the $100-$200 models really adequately accurate on the high/low parameter?

I just bought a cheapy weather station (Fine Offset) off EBay...they aren't too bad...you get the odd anomaly, but they are generally accurate. You can filter out the junk readings with the software...there is plenty of free weather recording software like Cumulus, that also lets you connect up to Weather underground. Mine cost me $120 all up. The temps are accurate against my $500 digital cool room thermometer. The only issue is too much sun can raise the daytime temp readings, so you have to improvise and make a better screen. The rainfall is slightly off compared to my rain gauge but the software can compensate for this as well. I'm sure the more expensive systems work out of the box, but with a little tweaking the cheap ones will give you what you need. The software also can alert on thresholds like low temps, so you can set it for freezing and it will wake you up... :-)

I've heard the best reviews on the Davis instruments, I have an Oregon Scientific and haven't really been completely satisfied, if you're serious about accuracy, you need to make sure your thermometer is fan aspirated with a good radiation shield.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

That's exactly what I am worried about - accuracy of temperatures. Do you guys have any specific product recommendations in the sort of $200 range?
