New Mayan city discovered -- with funny picture begging for snark

Ran across this. It describes an apparently undiscovered set of ruins.

I duly noted the absence of snark, noted by others. Something must be done! (Restore the snark!)

I thought this picture screams for a snarky caption; a shot of one of the archaeologists, apparently.

Look, old stuff, grant money, I must have more grant money. There could be tens, no hundreds of these. No amount of money is enough, I need it all, all of the money. Wait, even that is not enough. The secrets in these walls could end disease as we know, end world hunger, end war. Start printing. Make me money, make me lots of new money. Wait they didn't have the secret to not go extinct? Dang, no money.

Snarky enough for ya?

Hmmm...slightly underwhelmed by these "ruins"! :bemused: That's the best they can come up with? How about some REAL ruins? :mrlooney: Here's a shot from the Preah Khan temple ruins near Angkor Wat, Cambodia, for comparison. Yeah, that's Kim in the picture - and this was pretty much like actually being part of an Indiana Jones movie.
