I haven't checked in a while. So I'm not so sure. They just switched us to monthy billing to take the sting out I guess but now I have a 275$ a month bill instead of 400-450 bimonthly. But it's for something I love and I'm willing to pay for it.

OMG! I have a well and just got a new air conditioner--before the new unit I was (and still am)watering 30 minutes a day every day and running 4 hoses at once, my electricity bill is 90 bucks a month. Everyone is saying it will go even lower now that my unit is a 16 seer, but I find it hard to believe it could go any lower. $400 is a whole lot of money for city water(not well). Steve, I am sorry to hear that, man!

Now show us the correlating map with numbers showing how much less precipitation each sector had. If you get zero rain and unusually warm weather, of course consumption would have to go up, even while trying to conserve, right? There are far fewer green lawns in SoCal these days, that's for sure.

I hope no one takes this thread too seriously, it's really only meant as a friendly snark to our fellow palm growers in the Southern part of the State that steal all of our water. Actually, all that aqueduct water is going to agriculture, so I don't think you're stealing it, but this would be no fun with a good jab.

I pay about $140 or so bi monthly, and average less than 10 units (7500 gallons total). My electric bill is $50 per month. 3 people.

One of the really sad aspects to loosing trees and plants to the drought is that trees especially are so beneficial to our air and moderating our temps. Dead trees and plants means more likelihood of pests feeding on these dying things and more plant diseases attacking stressed plants. More dirt blowing in the wind. We woke up to damp streets this morning but what we got on the ground was so miniscule, it wasn't even enough to rinse the dirt off our cars. I think northern California did better. Nice to see a cloudy gray day today.

Blessed to be in South Florida, plenty of rain. No more supplemental watering of the garden. You get what falls on you. Water bill: I won't say, it would torture you.
