Big Bear Lake and Fawnskin California

I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if any of you southern California posters (or anybody else, for that matter) ever go to the Big Bear Lake area.

The reason I ask, is that there is a home in Fawnskin (north side of lake) that was used in a Columbo TV movie (starring the late Peter Falk & Jack Cassidy, and Martin Milner, who is still living) back in 1971. I know the house is still there because I can see it on Google satellite view, but there is no street view available.

I can also tell from the Google satellite view that the house has been modified some, mainly with an addition to it.

What I'm asking is, if anybody were to visit that area, say for skiing or other reason, if they would take a few photos of the front (road side) of the house for me. I would like to get the same angle shots of the house as was filmed in the Columbo episode (which I made screen saves from my DVD copy of this particular episode).

A somewhat hobby of mine is to watch old movies and TV shows and note the filming locations, then go to Google Map and try to find the exact locations to see how they look today. One source I use is IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base), which shows all the shooting locations used in the movie, show, etc.

For this particular Columbo TV episode titled: Murder By The Book, IMDB listed Big Bear Lake as one of the shooting locations. The house used in the episode was referred to as a cabin, as it was rustic looking. There were outside scenes where you could see part of Big Bear Lake and also some roads. Based on the orientation, shadows cast by trees and cars, etc., I scoured Google satellite view looking for the cabin. Another indicator was the steep cathedral roof of the cabin/house. I searched and searched, and lo and behold I found it. Not a doubt in my mind. I zoomed as much as I could and captured the view onto my picture files, but I want some street views.

There was also an old wooden general store used in the episode. Unfortunately, it was razed several years ago, but I found it on Google street scene (and captured screen saves of it) which hasn't been updated yet. But aerial views shows the store is gone now. Going into historic Google views you can still see the store.

So, if anybody ever ventures to Big Bear Lake, please keep me in mind. Either contact me via this post or PM me. I would appreciate some photos for sentimental reasons.

BTW, I can post/PM screen save photos of what I have of the house in the TV scenes, plus Google aerial view.
