Nice Matty. We get similar sunset views of ocean and some palms mixed in too, altho' we tried to not block the view with too many tall growing palms or other plants. Isn't it nice having a view facing west?

Hawaii Island (Big Island), leeward coast, 19 degrees N. latitude, south Kona mauka at approx. 380m (1,250 ft.) and about 1.6 km (1-mile) upslope from ocean.

No record of a hurricane passing over this island (yet!).

Summer maximum rainfall - variable averaging 900-1150mm (35-45") - Perfect drainage on black volcanic rocky soil.

Nice sunsets!

I was watering around sunset and too noticed the gorgeous, colorful sky. The air was humid and the breeze was warm. It almost, ALMOST, felt like I was on the islands for a moment.

Were experiencing a nice warmer patch in our Winter. Easy to be lulled into a false sense of security with 13-24 degree Celsius days still in July!

Looking forward to those balmy summer evenings.... my favourite time of the year!

Was dark when I got home, but it was nice to drive home looking at it...

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Woops should have said 13-14 degree MINIMUM days! LOL

That would suck if it were maximum!

Count me as one that gets close to having to deal with "suck" then. :mrlooney:
