This is a pretty neat two minute time lapse YouTube video showing the first Boeing 787-9 to be painted in Air New Zealand's dramatic (mostly) black colors. A bit of a menacing Darth Vader look to it! :) Air New Zealand had a Boeing 777 painted in these colors, but that was just a 'one off'. Apparently more will now be painted like this.

Cool! Haven't seen this video yet...Originally, it was thought the 787's engine nacelles could not be painted, citing aerodynamics...it was thought that even an extremely thin layer of paint would disrupt the laminar flow over the nacelles...
