Only 2 photos of this tree seen in someone's backyard in PR. My husband said inside the fruit were many samara-like (think maple trees) seeds. Name please?

Four miles inland

No freeze since '89...Damn!-since 2nd week of Jan., 2010

Definitely mahogany, though could be Swietenia macrophylla.

Curiously, there's a young one growing at San Diego BG (aka Quail BG) in Encinitas.

SoCal and SoFla; zone varies by location.

Thank you! There's a row of younger Swietenia (not sure of the species) that lines the road to our farm. They haven't produced the distinctive seeds yet . We appreciate the quick answers!
