We have had one of the coldest winters on record here, Have had many nights below zero.

I dont think all my young trachys will be alive this spring :(

Well, I think six of mine should make it, a group of three were protected by some mini X-Mas lights and an insulating blanket. The leaves took a hit but still a lot of green and I think the spears are good to go. Two other ones were covered with big, plastic garage cans. My coldest was 5.0 but the cold has been sustained, the snowstorms keep coming with little melting. Next disaster will surely be abnormally heavy, pre-Spring rains that bring massive flooding. Not too happy here either!

Trachys are pretty resilient, they may look dead, but pop out new growth in spring...hard to tell for a couple months though...best of luck to you both!
