Washingtonia Hybrid from seed

This is a example of a 1 gallon pot grown Washingtonia Hybrid palm grown from seed. It was planted into this pot in March of 2013. So it's still less than one year old and producing semi mature fronds.

There growth rate is something to see. Outside of the tropics, I don't know of another palm that even comes close.

Congrats! I can confirm their growth rate. Even here in less than favourable climate it's spectacular.

Here is mine after one summer ( don't know which one but the seeds were bought as filifera)
