August 2017:

For years I was used to visit this palm as it was a friend, and I was sad last week when I discovered that this old uncle disappeared.

It seems they planted young (too young seedlings) but we'll have to wait 100 years more to see the same graceful silhouette.
Actually when we all plant a palm tree we  do it also for the next generation.

I plant lots of stuff that I will never live to see to fruition. Hopefully, when I'm dead and gone maybe what I put in the ground today will inspire others to make the world a better place.
