PSSC May 2013 meeting in Santa Barbara

Hello, everyone:

We're back in a garden we haven't been to for a long time, which I've never seen.

The May 2013 PSSC meeting will take place on May 18, 2013 in the Bill Burke and NancyBell Coe garden in Santa Barbara. The site was formerly the home and garden of the Gunther Schwartz family. Since our visit seven years ago, the garden suffered fire damage and neglect before careful restoration by the present owners Bill and NancyBell.

Gunther Schwartz (in spirit!) would be delighted by our return to his now carefully restored garden. The garden is known for the most varied collection in Santa Barbara and outstanding succulent planting. Gunther devoted 25 years creating his garden on a 2-acre site.

2 acres in Santa Barbara. Hard to beat that.

Dave Bleistein, PSSC President

Schedule:

11:00-12:00 Self-guided tour of Gunther’s garden

12:00- 1:00 Potluck lunch and socializing
