RIP Luc Vannoorbeeck, Mr. Plumeria

Just heard that Luc, owner of Florida Colors Nursery in Homestead, passed away this AM. Luc was a regular participant at TFTS sales with his tables full of plumeria flowers and plants. Even if you weren't that into plumerias, it was hard not to appreciate Luc's passion and expertise with them.

Regards to his wife Carol and his family.

Sad news indeed. I heard this yesterday...he was a great guy and very generous with his plants. We organised an international plumeria conference here a few years ago and Luc was very supportive, organising a lot of things from the US side of things. He will be greatly missed.

Wow...very sad news. The plumeria/plant community has lost a great embassador. A lot of my plumerias came from Luc. I had just chatted with him on facebook a month ago.

I found this old photo from a few years ago...Luc was very knowledgeable about a lot of things and was only too pleased to share his knowledge with others...

I was truly shocked by his passing. Carol and Luke use to grow some of the best Hibiscus (large flower varieties ) as well as Plumeria's in South Florida. My sympathy to Carol and the Flowering Tree Community.
