Paul brought me a Noongnooch book signed with greetings and well wishes from everyone on palmtalk. That was very special. Thank you everyone for the kind words, and thank you Paul and Jessie; for bringing me the memorable gift. Reading through your words and viewing the the beautiful picture book made me feel like I was there. :crying:

Bill, Bob, and Paul were doing their best to keep the PRA esprit de corps present, but we still missed that certain je ne sais quoi...

I would have gone just to see Rafael in his swimming attire, but I had to wash my hair.

I didn't get to sign it but can I do it on my next visit to San Diego? Hey, it was a great Biennial and we all missed not seeing you there as you are so much a part of Palmtalk. But then think of all the work you were able to accomplish in your garden that you wouldn't have been able to do if you had gone to Thailand! LOL

Hawaii Island (Big Island), leeward coast, 19 degrees N. latitude, south Kona mauka at approx. 380m (1,250 ft.) and about 1.6 km (1-mile) upslope from ocean.

No record of a hurricane passing over this island (yet!).

Summer maximum rainfall - variable averaging 900-1150mm (35-45") - Perfect drainage on black volcanic rocky soil.

Nice sunsets!
