They would all do great in the ground but you see my friend, I am a renter and not an owner of my house. Here in San Diego it takes quite a bit of $$ to buy a house big enough to house all these plants.

Thank you very much. It grew very slowly for me for the first 2 years I had it but has been a steady grower in my garden for a while now. I was really happy when I finally bumped it up to a bigger container and that probably had alot to do with it's growth rate.

i'm just starting to realize that planting them up to a bigger pot helps markedly in most cases.it only took me 5 yrs to realize it...

Hi,

Ahhh is that the reason. It was maybe a stupid question, but i know much of the palms and other exotics that i can grow here. But i don't know so much from the palms that you can grow, and i want to learn also about your palm species etc.

hi Deez,

this is Kris Achar From S.India. i love you pictures.they are brilliant. and i like to know about the first picture the palm

seems to be close to the heater vent does it need extra

heating to keep this palm healthy.

Do you take your palms outdoors during summers.since here

in india every 2 days we take our indoor plants like cycas, cactus & Palms outdoor for few hours and them they are

once again placed in their respective containers or barrels.

or else the root rot problem begins due to very humid air from

our sea coast.

I request our members to also mention as to what digital

cameras they have shot their 1st Picture in this thread.

meaning what brand and what resolution need for easy upload. if these details are given in 1st picture of every ones

post them it would be benifical for new members to buy

good cameras and use it capture palms from our side of the continent.

Thank you,

Keep up the good work.

Love,

Kris (from s.india)

love conquers all..
