I was at my daughters place over Easter and she has started keeping Pekin bantam chickens. I was thinking of doing the same and was curious if anybody on the board has these guys. Love to hear your experiences etc.

Just keep them away from jet fighters !!!!...............Many moons ago when I was in the Australian Navy, a mate of mine who lived not far from Naval Air Station, Nowra had those fluffy footed Bantams as pets. Not long after getting them a Skyhawk fighter fly about 100ft about his house and one of the birds keeled over and stopped breathing. He gave it mouth to beak and it came back from the dead.....true story.

Broody buggers with tiny eggs. Cute but a waste of time unless you are looking for a pet. Stick to the Brown Shavers!
