I went to Lowe's today to buy several bags of Jungle Growth soil. After much trial and error I settled on their products for my potted palms. As I looked around I noticed there was no Jungle Growth. When I asked the guy there what had happened to it, he told me Disney bought them out. I looked at the guy like he was nuts, but the other Lowe's guy standing there was just shaking his head, and he said it was indeed so. There's nothing on their website about this, but if it's true, I'm pretty upset. The Lowe's guys were saying that Disney bought them out and they're going to be the exclusive user of Jungle Growth products. If you use Jungle Growth products, buy up what you can before it's too late.

I love that soil and have been using it after I killed so many palms with the heavy stuff Miracle Grow. It would be devastating if the Mouse gets to consume it all. I went by on Sunday to find out but the store was closed.

I had the same results with Miracle Grow, Frank. I moved on to ammending the heck out of it with perlite, but that got tedious. Lukas Nursery in Oviedo sells their own mix, and it's pretty good. About as expensive as Miracle Grow, but drains much better and has dolomite added.

We used to sell JG in the nursery, back in ancient times, and it had its fans no two ways.

But, if JG can do it, so can you . . . .
