Ryan (Palmarum) took this photo at the Costa Rica Biennel. We never got an ID. A larger photo version can be found on his Costa Rica Biennel thread.

Any ideas as to what it could be? :unsure:

It is probably a native species. The new flushing leaves caught his eye.

Don't recognize it. But maybe Canarium species? If not, possibly some Sapindaceae or Anacardiaceae.

I thought at first it might be rambutan but googlin' I found this one: Pometia pinnata
