Unknown Tree

Ryan (Palmarum) took this photo at the Costa Rica Biennel. We never got an ID. A larger photo version can be found on his Costa Rica Biennel thread.

Any ideas as to what it could be?

It is probably a native species. The new flushing leaves caught his eye.

Don't recognize it. But maybe Canarium species? If not, possibly some Sapindaceae or Anacardiaceae.

Flush reminds me a little bit of inga.

But probably way off.
