Great thread, thanks to the production team. It really does entice one to visit and hang out with the locals, I think my super spicy food days are still with me.

Paul, thanks for posting some photos from Bob's place. I think my camera battery was dead because I don't have any photos from that afternoon.

Bob, thanks for showing me around your garden!

That evening Paul and Jessie invited some friends over for a St Patrick's Day dinner.

The next morning Paul, Matt and I met up with Bill for an amazing PRA.

Here we are leaving Paul's house. It was a little chilly that morning.

post-747-098396200 1333156626_thumb.jpg

First they took me to a spectacular private garden, but the owner does not like photos posted on the internet and I can respect that.

After the private garden tour we headed over to BS Man's house

one night we decided to change things up from the asian diet we had been on & went

to a pizza place called "blind lady ale house." the pizza is delicious & "interesting,"

the one on top featured avocado & the bottom one was bacon & egg.

then we went to the jardin de BS dewd where matt was nearly

killed by over-grown weeds.

whenever he wanted to show jeff something he had to burrow a tunnel

through the weeds to get to it like some large,palm-loving groundhog.

Thanks Matt, that's a compliment coming from the king of sippy faces. :mrlooney:

Actually it was easy because huge tapioca pearls were getting stuck in that straw! I almost collapsed a lung trying to sip Thai iced tea...

Kim, I hope you do come down. If you do, we're going to Wilson Botanical Garden. It's definitely not to be missed on your next trip to Costa Rica.

I had a few last photos to post but my desktop computer crashed and it looks like I lost the photos. It's unfortunate that you will not get to see Paul and Matty frolicking in the Jubaea grove at Balboa Park...

Paul and Jessie, thanks again for everything. I had the best time! And Paul, you're right about it being a gastronomical tour. It was as much of a FRA (food related activity) as it was a PRA! I couldn't have been happier!
