Epic 6 day San Diego PRA

Jeff in St Pete

Recommended Posts

Last week I went to San Diego to visit with Paul (Paulgila) and Jes. Staying at Paul's house is a PRA in itself. Everyday I would notice a new plant or palm in his beautiful jungle garden.

Haven't seen pics of Paul's garden in awhile....wow looking good. Great color too especially that blue trash can, what an accent piece. Seriously, what a nice garden and

respite from the city.

This is what it's all about, palm people outings, thanks for posting Jeff. I'm a bit partial to Euterpes Paul, looking real nice. I'm beginning to like the bare earth look around palms.

Happy Gardening

Jeff,

Thanks a lot for all the outstanding photos. :) Paul has a great garden and even though I had the pleasure of seeing it recently, it's always fun to re-visit! Dennis' garden, well, it's been MANY years, and it sure looks impressive! Maybe on my next San Diego trip... :)

I've been curious about this palm at Dennis'. It's supposed to be Pseudophoenix vinifera. It looks more like P. sargentii to me, but then again, I've never seen a P. vinifera growing in California, so I can't rule it out. Palms can look diferent here than in Florida from what I've seen. Anyone have any ideas on this one?
