Dypsis scotiana var affinis SEEDS

Recommended Posts

This palm came in about 10 years ago thru rancho soledad nursery. When my dad bought it, it was labeled "dypsis scotiana var. affinis.'' Many palm nerds have thought it could be a different specie..but who knows...One thing is for sure, it is one awesome small caning clumping palm. Much smaller in stature than baronii so don't even try to go there! The trunks look like bamboo and the crownshafts are bright white-yellow. The petioles have little black spots on them also. Its a very neat palm, one of my favorite ones in my dads garden for sure. This palm can take full sun all day long also. Treat it like dyp. oneilahensis.

I have roughly +/- 500 seed to sell.

$25 per 50 fresh seed. Collected the seed 2 days ago.

Any questions or inquires please email me @: willowbrooknursery.com or call (949) 338-3032

I have sprouted seed from this palm three times now always with high % yeild.

Lastly, if anyone is looking for a trade, I'll trade for fruit trees

Hi Braden,

You have a very nice palm in your pictures, but I'm pretty confident it is not Dypsis scottiana. You might want to research it in the POM book.
