Two seedlings in yard, 2' tall plant somewhat protected by a nearby bush was only barly hit by 27F (slight leaf burn).  1' tall seedling in back in raised bed with shade cloth lost all but one leaf.

Two specimens:

One, in a five-gallon, about 18" leaf length, no damage, under ficus trees, temps nearby to 24.8 F for three days, probably did not experience such temps.

Another, in the ground, 24" leaf lenght, under a Cedrus deodar, three days of 28-29 F, no damage.

5 year old seedling (very slow palm), approx 12" tall no burn or damage in covered area.  Colocasia about 2 feet away melted.  Probably got to 28f in this area.

2 foot tall plant in ground under heavy tree canopy.

33F, no damage at all.

Here's an update:

This specimen was in the ground under the Cedrus deodar of Lust and Desire, four solid nights of 28-29 F (-1 C) at least in the exposed areas.

No damage!
