She just dreams about them gulls and pelicans all day... They aggravate her big time.

The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

Dogs are defintely better! They are always happy to see you. They seem to be empathetic. They are warm and make good crying towels, just like my horses.

I don't like cats and I really don't like feral cats. Cats outside kill more songbirds than anything else in the US. Get rid of them! If you have cats, keep them inside and away from the birds. Birds in the US have no memory of an arboreal predator and hence don't know to fear them.

This is why I love my cats.

Kitty sure looks like it could use a little extra love, as does the child.

This was taken at a refugee camp in China, where they had an earthquake recently.

Well, our 2 cats are missing within a few days of each other, and a chicken went missing last week. I suspect a new predator in town, possible a 2 legged one.

Possible coyote invasion, too.

They are very rapacious, and love to eat cats. I've lost a lot of them.

Never seen a Cayote this close in, although we do have them. Foxes, however are always around. Things, including the cats have been stable around here for close to 5 years, however I do have a new neighbor building a very fine house, and many work crews coming and going, so,,,,

If coyotes are "nearby" it's only a matter of time, in my experience from both California and Ohio that they will be "in" a lot sooner than you like.

I suppose someone on the work crew might grab a chicken or a cat, but my money's on coyotes. They often leave no trace. They'll eat the whole kitty, claws, paws, toothy jaws and all. Your average house cat won't stand a chance. If you get another cat, make it an indoor cat. I lost 18 cats and kittens by letting them out, or them getting out when I tried to keep them in. The one survivor is a house kitty, never goes out, though she wants to.

Yea coyotes will take a house cat or small dog in a heart beat.

I saw a security video on you tube , where a coyote beat the snot out of a large poodle, before getting chased off by its owner.

Coyotes are tough expletives.

They walk on the walls between gardens looking for meat.

They're afraid of people of yes, very afraid. Wolves they ain't.

But, to cats and small dogs, oh-hoo-hoo

You hope.

They're always on patrol, trust me.

Little birds love coyotes, since they eat the kitties that might otherwise eat them.

We have coyotes in Cape Coral and Ft. Myers that snatch small dogs and cats. We also have alligators and monitor lizards that do the same.
