A world-class botanical garden

For plant lovers of all types and stripes

Our annual banquet is back again at the Huntington Botanical Gardens and Museum, in San Marino California.

This is one of the world's premiere plant locations. If you have never been here, now is the chance to visit the gardens, and visit with fellow palm nuts.

For those of you who have never seen the Huntington's New Botanical Conservatory, you are in for a real treat. Here, you can see those plants that only grow in Hawaii, New Caledonia, Singapore, etc. That's in addition to the world renowned outdoor collection of plants from all over the world, including a collection of palms that have been photographed for half a century.

Banquet Price: $35.00 per person

The menu consists of barbequed chicken, tri-tip, organic beans, garden salad, iced tea, and dessert.

Please be advised that , by order of the Fire Marshall, seating for the Banquet is limited to 100 people. If you do not reserve a spot in advance, you run the risk of being turned away at the door.

Please send check for $35.00 per attendee, payable to the PSSC to: Ralph Velez, Banquet Chairman, 15461 Devonshire Circle, Westminster, CA 92683 and reserve your space.

ITINERARY

- PSSC Board meeting, 9:30 a.m.

- Self-guided tours of botanic gardens, 10:30 a.m.

- Lunch Begins 12:00 noon

- Presentations by Speakers

- Plant Sale, 3:30 p.m.

For the plant auction, please bring no more than eight (8) plants, rare species preferred, in pot sizes that are easy to carry, preferably no larger than 5 gallon size.

Is admission to the Huntington included or do we have to pay for it separately at the gate?

Also, anyone want to car pool from Vista area?

Pat, tell them at the gate you are with the Palm Society and they will waive the usual admission fee. I'd offer to car pool, but I'm driving up a day ahead. Hope to see you there.
