Looks awesome Bill. Do these begin to trunk reasonably quickly?; or do they just keep developing a wider crown for a few years?

Bill,

Definitely a good looking palm and it's obviously happy! :) If my experience here is anything to go by, you should be able expect pretty robust growth from now on.

Well Thanks everyone! :D I just had to share how happy some of these can look even if not in Hawaii or Queensland! hahah

Anyway...Sorry Pete... they've all been married off..

Bret, from what I have seen on these, the crown does get wider, but it goes up too. The Big one in San Clemente is about 2 feet across, and "just starting" to trunk, BUT the soil level crown to the growing point "emergence area" is about FOUR FEET :).. and the petiole is as big as my forearm. Luv it!

Bill, I think it is trying to assimilate into its surroundings...

So, are you going to let it loose or will it have to escape on its own?

Beautiful Bill! :mrlooney: I'll have to post some pics of mine. Now that mine is trunking, I'm having doubts that it's the same as yours. I don't know if it's the different growing conditions or just a different palm altogether.
