Tamborine Mountain, some 60km south of Brisbane is an attractive tourist area inland from the Gold Coast with lots of beautiful views, remnants of rainforest, waterfalls, arts and craft, bric-a-brac shops restaurants and tearooms and a wealth of colonial(Victorian?) style houses

Daryl took us there and we wandered around in awe accompanied by the loudest kookaburra sound I ever heard, saw some wallabies and stumbled over the numerous Archontophoenix cunninghamiana, Linospadix monostachya and Calamus muelleri
Nothing beats seeing plants growing in their habitat and even though a lot of people think Archontophoenix c. is a weed (in some places) this forest is like a weed cathedral

Hi Charles
Great pictures, it is easy to loose track of time when you visit there.

It should be on the must see list when visiting Queensland to look at Palms in Habitat. Daryl is a great tour guide and font of information.
