forum not recognizing that we're logged in?

How come the list at the bottom of the main page shows very few people are logged in, when I'm pretty sure that more than 8 members are currently logged in. I can be having a PM with someone and the little color person next to their avatar that indicates they are online is not turned on. It seems that the forum is not recognizing that some people are logged in even though they are on the board posting and viewing. Whatupwitdat? Thanks mods for all your hard work.

Dalmationsoap is correct. You can be logged in and online, but if you pause on a page to type or read and don't click to another page for 2 minutes, your name drops off the list until you make another click. It's so strange to see only 1 or 2 people logged in after being used to seeing 20 or more names listed.

It used to be set so that your name would stay up for 30 mins after your last action. However, I would constantly PM people that I thought were there - and they weren't.

So with the addition of the Chat Room, I thought it was more crucial than ever to know who was actually on line "NOW," not who was already logged off for a half hour. So the results now are more indicative of who is on in real time.

Thanks to those of you who help make this a fun and friendly forum.
