Interesting thread Eric, can you tell us more about the other hybrids being produced, especially the BxP hybrids. Are you doing any backcrosses with the mules? BxSxS. I like mules, but would really like to see them backcrossed to a queen again to get that plumose appearance with just a bit more cold tolorance than a normal queen. As always pictures of mature plants are always appreciated.

David we had no germination on the B X P. I am still trying to find another source for pollen on the parajubaea as well as the jubaea. We did some back crosses with butia this year. The syagrus backcross Mark Lynn did a few years prior. Here is a photo of Butyagrus x syagrus
