They are an endangered species here......people just don't seem to like them and chop them out once they get large.

I have a self sown single plant down the gully .

They do pop up all over the place . Have heard that they like to be shaded a bit .

Michael in palm paradise,

Tully, wet tropics in Australia, over 4 meters of rain every year.

Home of the Golden Gumboot, its over 8m high , our record annual rainfall.

They do pop up all over the place . Have heard that they like to be shaded a bit .

Cyclone Yasi was uinkind and played origami with these leaves .
