Chambeyronias were always my favourite palm, but the more palms I see, the more difficult that decision becomes.  In the non palms category it would probably be a variety of Brom, but there are too many to choose from, although I am also very taken with the pictures people have posted of the Hawaiian Ty's? (Cordyline (fruticans?)).

Hi Juan

You might like to consider turning this into a poll. It's a regular type of poll but we never get tired of doing it. List about ten palms and people vote etc.

Happy Gardening

I figure you want to get a survey on:

#1 My favorite palm

#2 My favorite non-palm

On #1 I can't really answer that, the others could become jealous. Although I can say that I have an inclination for Kentiopsis, Hydriastele, Arecas, Roystonea, Cyrtostachys, Livistonas, well let me stop...

On #2 My favorite non palms are the Pinaceae family, brugs and the bananas.
