Ken Hill, cycad botanist from Sydney Botanical Gardens passed away this morning following a long illness.

Ken was undoubtably the leading cycad botanist in the world with his expertise being cycas and macrozamia where he described about 50 species.

He also described the Wollemi pine and was responsible for the reclassification of eucalypts in Australia.

Bye friend.
