I have a very good number of Encephalartos cones this season
and a bunch more males then I need for the matching females.
On a few species I have a handful extra male cones.
Some are getting close to shedding the pollen.

Trading pollen for resulting seeds.

Available pollen:

E.lehmannii
E.trispinosus - several different characteristics/looks
E.horridus - several different characteristics/looks
E.lebomboensis
E.longifolius (bluish & jubertina - really blue)
E.arenarius (very bluish)
E.princeps
E.altensteinii
E.natalensis
E.manikensis

I am posting this here again since most interested people have come from the post in "TROPICAL LOOKING PLANTS - Other Than Palms " but there might be some just checking here.


I have recieved several emails from interested people that live outside the United States.
I can only send pollen within the US because pollen is regulated by Cites (and I want to be able to get seed in return).
I will update the list in a few days since some species are producing a lot of interest.

Just before it started raining I cut off another E.princeps male cone and have totally fresh pollen available.

So for a little while there will be fresh pollen of these species available before it will be frozen.

Just a quick note in regards to the recent power outage in Southern California.
The backup system kicked in and the temperature in the pollen freezer was maintained thruout the event so there was no loss to the pollen supply.
