Palm Nurseries

Here in Recife area we don't have that many choices for good nurseries. I like "Atmosphera" real well and usually go there each semester  for a visit. They germinate some palms there and also bring seedlings from São Paulo. I guess I've shown some pictures from that place sometime ago... It would be nice if we can see pictures of other nurseries around the world...

That Sabal looks like Mauritiiformis to me.

Looks like mauritiiformis to me too, but I guess it could also be yapa too. Thanks for the pictures Gileno. Looks like a neat nursery.

I have a Yapa too and they are supposed to have a bit more of a blue-green tint than Mauritiiformis.  (Mine does , I have both)  Anyhoo- based I the pic, I change to what  Zac suggested, Yapa.

Either way, I don't think you could go wrong with either of those species. Glad you got some of those Gileno. I know I would have.

I'd love to see some pictures of your nursery too and I feel sorry for not having specialized palm nurseries around here. I've been to Florida in january and stayed near Fort Lauderdale for almost a week but unfortunetly I didn't know anything about your place at the time, otherwise I would've tried to pay you a long visit (hopefully not during your sale period with all the movement and rush I've heard...).

About the Sabal: I really thought they were mauritiformis but the only seedlings I've had were still too small and they are not showing the character leaves yet...thanks for the ID.
