I just recieved my book yesterday. Andrea had bought it for me for a birthday present. I couldn't be happier about it. I spent alot of time reading through it last night, it was really great to see a couple of my favorite palm genera in it, Carpoxylon and Tahina.

Many thank-you's to all the authors that put this fine book together. I still to this day, continually find myself thumbing through GP #1 for information. So now my dilemma will be when I need to find some information, which book do I go to?

How long is wait time from ordering to arrival? Mine was ordered the beginning of Dec. with hopes of it being a Christmas present... Should I be concerned?

I got an e mail that mine was shipped November 17 but it still hasn't arrived. Probably got hit by the christmas rush. I will probably get it mid january already becuase between Christmas and New Year's has been declared a holiday over here. :(

To be honest I am a bit worried. :crying:

William, seems like you should have received yours, but considering the Christmas mail rush and the fact that we don't know exactly when it was mailed probably means we should give it a bit more time before panicking! And Gene's certainly should have arrived with a shipping date of 17 Nov., but then again, who knows what can happen at this time of the year. Not much we can for Gene except wait for another week or two and hope for the best. And William, let's wait until after you get mail early next week. If no sign of it by then, suggest we contact Rusty at Allen Press and hopefully he can provide us with a shipping date.

Gene,

Thanks for letting us know. Two months is a VERY long time to reach you, but this is very useful to know when we hear from others who have not received their copies of GP2.
