Remembe (or maybe you don't) it was Harry S. Truman, a president, just like you, that said, "The book stops here"! ......or something like that.

John,

I know what Harry Truman said. And I wish more people would keep that simple rule in mind... :)

John, maybe it wasn't made absolutely clear, but this is an actual (and VERY heavy) book! It's being shipped via the U.S. Post Office (you may have heard of them? ), and it's not like an e-mail attachment that will get to you instantly... I'll check with Rusty to see if Allen Press has started shipping the books out.

George,

You don't HAVE to but I sense that this is your preference. And there IS an option for ordering more than one book at a time on the website.

Yes - all international shipments will go via airmail. Give it 7-10 days.

Rick,

Not sure what you mean by "months ago"? We only started accepting orders a couple of weeks ago! Assuming you paid with a credit card then the charge on your card is confirmation in itself. If an inordinate amount of time goes by and someone does not receive GP2 then we can check with Allen Press, but I don't want to abuse this option. By "inordinate" I would say that if someone has not received GP2 within a month of placing the order, then it's definitely time to check into it. (That would apply to any order placed after 23 Oct., the day Allen Press started shipping out GP2).

Bo,

I placed my order that very first day that the IPS website allowed it via online. Remember we had the e-discussion regarding not taking credit cards and the webmaster corrected it? I am not certain of the exact date....it just seems like months ago.

Rusty at Allen Press is out of the office today, but will be back tomorrow. I will check with him to make sure that Allen Press did indeed start shipping out GP2 before the end of October. If that's correct, then anyone in the 48 states should expect their copy very soon. As in 'any day'. But I will not ask Rusty to check individual orders - at least not yet! That could get very timeconsuming, and as long as Rusty can confirm that all orders have been taken care of we'll just have to be patient. For now! :)

Hi All,

We indeed began processing and shipping orders on October 23rd. As you can imagine, we had a large amount of orders and all were not handled on the 23rd, but soon after. I've spoken with the USPS, as many domestic orders should have indeed begun arriving by now. They have told me that there could be possible delays due to all the political mailings that continued to mail out up until the end of last week. While I can't confirm the effect of this on any individual orders, we'll have to take this as the only possible reason for the delays. I ask you to be patient in receiving your order, as it should get to you within the coming days. I encourage you to email me at rwright@allenpress.com if you have ANY questions about your order.

Thanks a lot,

Rusty

Hi All,

After replying to Jeff's message, it was brought to my attention that there was a large group of initial orders that slipped through the cracks somewhere along the lines. These orders were caught at the beginning of this week, and were shipped yesterday. If you are located in the US and placed your order in October, you should, by all means, have your book by next week. As there might be a couple exceptions to this, please don't hesitate to contact me with your individual order details if you have any questions. We're still getting caught up on orders placed in November, and these books will be shipped in the very near future.

Please know that this is an Allen Press error and not an IPS error, simply caused by a huge amount of orders coming in at one time.

Any questions, just let me know.

Thanks,

Rusty

It's a beautiful book, but not what I thought.

I thought I'd be getting something with information on just about every palm in existance. NOT.

Oh well it will look nice on the book shelf.
