Syagrus ____?

Saw this palm yesterday in Encinitas near the Quail Botanical Garden.  It looks like a Syagrus (schizophylla?), but I'm not sure since I've never actually seen one.

Can anyone help with the ID?

Fred!

Your eye is sharp, and your pic well-composed.

I would say it's a Syagrus coronata, from Southern Brasil . . . .

Nice scale with the house right there.  I've never seen one so big.  How many years did the owners have to put up with walking by that beast and getting brushed by it's fronds everytime?  Patience.

Dave, all the credit goes to my brand new digital camera.

Indeed.  I thought it a rather small place to plant such a big (and bodacious) palms.  I'm glad he/she did, though, since now it's visible from the street.
