Palm Beach Palm & Cycad Society will hold it's annual Fall Sale Oct. 11 & 12 at Mounts Botanical Garden located at 531 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach. The hours are 9 till 4 on Saturday and 9 till 3 on Sunday. ADMISSION IS FREE. There will be 500+ species of palm & cycads for sale. Also, 'Palm Special' fertilizer, books and T-shirts and free knowledgeable advice. There will be a special guest speaker on Sunday to be announced.

Palms were our favorites. We did test plantings for a few years as we worked out a planting plan. About that time we met Herb Weber and our knowledge of palm trees and the International Palm Society took a giant leap forward. The flood of January 1982 changed all plans. To get to the garden: From Kea`au, take Hwy 130 past Pahoa. From the beginning of the Pahoa Bypass it is 5.7 miles to the Opihikao turn off to the left.
