Fishbranch Tree Farm

Kristy from Fishbranch called me today to ask how my palms were doing after the cold winter we had. I thought that not only was their plant material top notch, but they really care to see how things were going almost a year after installation! That my friends is a quality grower. If you are looking for giant S. causiarum's, huge Livistonia nitida, saribus, decora etc. or want that prize Phoenix sylvestris for your yard, you should check out Fishbranch's website. If you want to see details of my experience with them, look at my thread below. An A+ company. http://www.fishbranchtreefarm.com/ http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/34415-alicehunter2000s-b…

Brantley Palms

Bryant Brantley has some great deals on fields of Butia odorata palms. He has started venturing into other cold hardy palms as well. He gave me a great deal on a nice field dug trunking Trachyocarpus fortunei and threw in some extra potted palms as well. He was a genuinely nice guy who was a pleasure to do businesswith. He hand dug, wrapped, and tractor loaded my palm with a lot of expertise. ..almost no roots were cut in the process. He is located in Perry Florida on some nice farmland.

Premier Growers (Shelby & Corey)

Most of us know Shleby from the forums (PalmMom007) but I did not know that she was running a full-fledged nursery as Premier Growers in Florida. I ordered a 7g Copernicia fallaensis from their website, and received an absolutely amazing plant. The roots were so healthy and full I had to stuff the palm in a 15g pot! They have lots of other gems and are certified to ship to California. Definitely worth repeat business!

Familiar with patioplants.com?

Ok so I found this site, looked to have a nice selection of palms, mostly normal varieties, As well as other tropicals. My problem was where's the pricing? So I got to looking for reviews and found very little for as well put together as the site is. Is this just a case of having to sign up for pricing,is it wholesale, no shipping during winter? Or is there something squirrly with them? I'm a bit of a skeptic by nature. TIA http://Patio plants.com

BotanicalAuctions.com

I have bought several seeds from this site and they all were immature or just bad seeds. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after several purchases I gave up. They will not get any more of my money. I wrote to them to tell them what was going on and I did not ask for more seeds I just wanted them to know about the seeds in case it was a mistake but they have never replied to my email.

Letsgrowflorida.com

How would you rate Letsgrowflorida.com? They are also operating on ebay as https://www.ebay.com/str/letsgrowflorida They have sent me seeds via FedEx upon my request since I wanted as fresh seeds as possible. This was in 2018. Satakentia liukiuensis seeds were sent without any moisture (contrary to my advise and request), completely dry and thus never germinated. Let's Grow Florida promised to send me replacement SL seeds properly moist. Yet once ebay feedback time expired (and I never left them any feedback since I was waiting for replacement seeds), they stopped communicating with me. I thought they are quite a significant nursery so why not give them a chance…

So I stumbled upon this site this morning and am curious if anyone has had any dealings purchasing palms from them, they appear to have quite a extensive selection but are closed this week for processing orders. It would seem none of the pot sizes are huge and the prices are not available so I don't know if the rates are reasonable, just curious what experiences others have had. https://urbanpalms.com

Bluebell Nursery (Jack and Arlene Passarello)
by tinman10101- 1 follower

I love this place. Arlene and Jack are so nice and gracious and is a secret palm source for many seasoned palm growers. They grow everything from seed and the prices are phenomenal. Arlene is now taking hold of most of the business now that I fear Jack is in failing health. Come support a couple that has been so integral to the palm community. 20 gallon Dypsis Decipiens grown for over 10 years just $100 20 gallon Rhopies (grown for over 10 years) for just $100 Many other palm species as well such as Caryota Gigas, Roystenias, Chambeyronias, Kings and Howeas. You can beat the prices and knowing you a supporting a couple that have been such a great part …

This is a repost of information I originally included on a for sale thread earlier in February. I purchased 3 Sabal minors from @teddytn last week. He added a bonus Sabal louisiana for no extra charge (thank you). I am very pleased. Ordering and communication was good. The price of the palms and shipping was excellent (better)--make sure to include @teddytn in your sabal shopping because of it (PM me if more info desired). The size, maturity, roots, and condition of the sabals were superior, especially for the price. The sabals arrived in good condition despite the winter weather. Here are the pics: Arrival packaging and condition …

EBAY SCAMMER ALERT
by NorthFlpalmguy- 2 replies
- 1.8k views
I know some of us sell palms/seeds on Ebay and other sites as well and needed to pass on this info. Be warned there is a scammer by the username "sellssword" and is trying to make sellers think their seeds are bad which in reality they are not and he won't return the seeds and demands a refund. It has now happened to several of us now and needs to be reported as I bet there are more of us. With the way Ebay is now ran it is completely one-sided and the vendors are at these scammer's mercy.

Guys, do you know seller Safenut on ebay? Ordered a seedling a week ago and haven't heard from the seller ever since, despite many emails sent to him. Could be he's on vacation or something, but it makes me afraid as it's mid winter and I need to know if and when the plant is shipped. Do let me know if you had any experiences like that in a past. Thanks

Wanderlust Nursery - Seattle, WA

I ordered a few plants from Wanderlust Nursery: 2 x Syagrus romanzoffiana "Santa Catarina" 1 x Ichang lemon 1x Fascicularia bicolor Plants were packaged extremely well - I haven't seen better. As a result they showed up flawless. All plants were healthy and the Fascicularia was pretty darn big. Also received a freebie bromeliad in the mix. Definitely recommend this vendor to others. The owner is a member here as well - many thanks to @matthedlund.

Malesiana Tropicals

I took a gamble and ordered some palms on my "wish list" from a nursery I really knew nothing about. Happily I am quite pleased with my plants. They responded to my many questions promptly over several months and even held the plants while I was working on my end to secure an import permit. They seem to update their website list frequently, but offer only a small selection of palm species. Their major focus based on the website is Nepenthes. In fact, to get to their palm section, I have to temporarily disable pop ups after clicking on the palms picture. I chose express shipping which they recommended due to the size of some of my plants. 8 days and they arrived in…
