I'm from Nebraska and found Josh via Craigslist and have made two visits to him to pick up palms. Always great choices, many more exotic species here than typically seen so it's easy to impulse buy! I always leave with more knowledge about palms and putting many more on my mental list to have in the future. Since I drive here from Nebraska I'm limited by what I can haul back in my truck... Thanks Josh! you know I'll take great care of them. Scott/Omaha

How would you rate Letsgrowflorida.com? They are also operating on ebay as https://www.ebay.com/str/letsgrowflorida They have sent me seeds via FedEx upon my request since I wanted as fresh seeds as possible. This was in 2018. Satakentia liukiuensis seeds were sent without any moisture (contrary to my advise and request), completely dry and thus never germinated. Let's Grow Florida promised to send me replacement SL seeds properly moist. Yet once ebay feedback time expired (and I never left them any feedback since I was waiting for replacement seeds), they stopped communicating with me. I thought they are quite a significant nursery so why not give them a chance…

Internet seed seller in Ranong, Thailand. Palmseed.net I ordered 5 small packets, they arrived in under 2 weeks, paid with Paypal. Some germinated in transit, so I expect they'll be good. Prompt response to my emails too.

Jones Landscaping Nursery 5301 SW 82nd Avenue Davie, Fl (954)296-2019 Chip Jones is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with, he specializes in hard to find cycads. He has a very large and ever growing selection of hard to find Blue Encephalartoses, Zaimia's, Dioons and Cycas. He also has a large selection of Orchids and Bromeliads. I have made the trip down to Chips place many times and have purchased many great plants from him; I always look forward to returning! I would give Jones Landscaping Nursery my highest vendor recommendation! I would also recommend visiting Chip's wed sight @ http://www.cycadflor...da/Nursery.html!

Familiar with patioplants.com?

Ok so I found this site, looked to have a nice selection of palms, mostly normal varieties, As well as other tropicals. My problem was where's the pricing? So I got to looking for reviews and found very little for as well put together as the site is. Is this just a case of having to sign up for pricing,is it wholesale, no shipping during winter? Or is there something squirrly with them? I'm a bit of a skeptic by nature. TIA http://Patio plants.com

So I stumbled upon this site this morning and am curious if anyone has had any dealings purchasing palms from them, they appear to have quite a extensive selection but are closed this week for processing orders. It would seem none of the pot sizes are huge and the prices are not available so I don't know if the rates are reasonable, just curious what experiences others have had. https://urbanpalms.com

Palm Specimen Nurseries in Alabama / Georgia / South Carolina
by LouisvillePalmer- 1 reply

I was wanting to buy some rather large specimen cold-hardy palm trees this spring, but so far my google searches are not netting me much returns. Are there any nurseries in Northern Alabama / Georgia or Western South Carolina that have large specimen palms? I don't really want to travel much farther south than Birmingham / Atlanta, Greenville. Thanks!

These are Bismarkia germinated seeds were(is) listed on ebay by a seller from Lakeland, /florida. His asking price was 19.95 plus 12.70 shipping. When I asked about these seeds he said they were very healthy, when I asked him about the root condition appearing to be cut or broken, the scissors are a nice touch, which Im sure many if not all will agree means certain death. I have germinated many Bismarkia as well as other seeds, but he insisted that I must not know what I am looking at or how to continue germination. Afterwhich he cancelled my order with him of other plant materials, then sent me message through ebay that my items had shipped. His ad for the bismarkias h…

@palmsOrl and myself went over to Largo to see @SWFLchris's operation. Chris had a large selection of palms that aren't available in your typical big box outlets. I picked up two Carpentaria acuminata seedlings and a Cryosophila warscewiczii to add to my landscape. @palmsOrl posted his plunder on this thread in the Discussion forums: https://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/64208-new-palms-a-floribunda-order-and-a-trip-to-see-chris/ Some of the inventory for this nursery is listed here: https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/grd/d/largo-rare-palms-huge-selection-of-1/7126808922.html A few of my Tampa area friends like @RedRabbit and @Chatta will be…

Caribbean Palms Nursery - Mike Harris
by rozpalm- 20 replies

Caribbean Palms Nursery is a small nursery located in Loxahatchee, Florida and is owned and operated by Mike Harris. If you are into rare palms from the Caribbean this is a great place. This nursery is a gem and has lots of rare palms that Mike himself travelled to collect the seed. I have bought quite a few palms from Mike and will be returning this week to add a few more to my collection. I have always found Mike to be an easy person to deal with and more then willing to provide growing knowledge for the palms you are buying. If you are in Loxahatchee, make sure to schedule a visit to Caribbean palms.

Guys, do you know seller Safenut on ebay? Ordered a seedling a week ago and haven't heard from the seller ever since, despite many emails sent to him. Could be he's on vacation or something, but it makes me afraid as it's mid winter and I need to know if and when the plant is shipped. Do let me know if you had any experiences like that in a past. Thanks
